After graduating from Ankara University, Bayram Tekçe joined the Istanbul Chamber of Guides and became a professional guide serving Dutch and English-speaking visitors to Turkey. Many tourism companies headhunted him because of his people and language skills and over eight years, he served hundreds of tourists including high profile figures like Bill Clinton.
Just after the turn of the century, the Turkish government changed real estate laws, and for the first time, foreigners could buy apartments and villas in Turkey. Bayram’s abilities led many foreigners to seek his help in a market was still in its infancy, so he changed his career to become a real estate agent. Along with Mustafa Öksüz, he opened a franchise office of the Century 21 brand in Adana on the 12th of July 2004.
International demand to own Turkish property was growing and many buyers interested in Antalya were flying across on viewing trips. So, to save commuting and to prove himself as a local expert, Bayram moved his office from Adana to the heart of Antalya, where he soon proved himself as a trustworthy agent for foreign and Turkish buyers.
A rising profile and increased customer interest prompted Bayram to register as an official brand name, and Antalya Homes was born. More staff joined the team, and we appeared at international fairs in Finland, Sweden, Holland and Belgium.
By now, Turkey was experiencing a property boom and our reputation as trustworthy estate agents lead us to become the best-selling company to foreign buyers. Still appearing in European fairs, we exhibited in Russia for the first time.
With many investors looking to buy direct from the construction company, we started two projects in Belek and the central Konyaalti district. During this year, we continued taking part in European and Russian exhibitions, and as a result, our reputation for expertise and professionalism grew.
Everyone was still feeling the after-effects of the 2008 financial crisis, but we finished our construction projects and delivered keys to owners on time and as promised. Although the crisis resulted in fewer buyers, Antalya was still the number one region for foreigners looking to own a home in Turkey, and we continued to offer our services with 100% guarantees that buyers will receive their title deeds.
As the internet changed the face of marketing and advertising, we launched a new website that translated into eight different languages. Allowing people everywhere to browse our portfolio and read detailed information in their own language, we become the most searched estate agent on Google for the Antalya region.
Export. Gov, a collaboration of 19 US government agencies headed by the USA Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration helps Americnas do business overseas. In 2010, they added us to their database of business service providers who help buyers in sourcing, completion and financing of real estate transactions. As the worldwide monetary crisis wore off, foreign interest in Turkish property resumed to high demand levels. By this time, our in-house quality policy catered to the growing expectations of foreign customers, and we delivered all title deeds in a seamless process. Word of mouth advertising from many earlier customers, helped us to once again, record sales of real estate transactions with foreigners.

Turkey dropped their reciprocity rule, allowing more nationalities to buy property in Turkey and demand from Middle-Eastern nations tripled. Our Arabic speaking staff helped many nationalities including Egyptians, Libyans and Tunisians to own a home in Turkey. Once again, we were the leading seller in Antalya to foreigners.
The Turkish Chamber of Commerce says stats prove 85% of Turkish companies do not make it to their tenth year, so this was an exciting milestone for us to achieve. Using our tried and tested business model, we opened an office in European Istanbul called Istanbul Homes. Antalya continued to be the most popular destination for buyers on the Mediterranean coast, so we opened a second office in the Liman Mahallesi district of Konyaalti. This location in the heart of the city centre, helps customers find us easily.
The Alanya district started to grow in popularity, and even more foreigners than ever before, flocked to the region with an interest in buying apartments. The low price per square meter presented ideal opportunities for budget and first-time buyers. To cope with demand, we opened an office in Alanya, so we can provide customers with a quicker and more efficient service.
Another area of Turkey receiving record-breaking interest was Trabzon in the northeast. Vast differences in local culture, traditions, and in the property market prompted us to open a local office, with in-depth, knowledgeable experts to help with growing demand from Middle-Eastern nationalities. Having set up and proven ourselves as a leading estate agent in Istanbul, it was time for a move of office into our own brand, new premises. With a comfortable reception area, private offices, open space workstations and clean-cut décor and design, our team settle straight away and continue to prove top notch service. As our brand now included the Antalya, Istanbul and Trabzon offices, we changed from a limited to an incorporated company with a paid capital of 2,500,000 TL. Our new brand name is ANTALYA HOMES EMLAK AŞ, with “emlak” being the Turkish word for an estate agent. We continue to further develop our brand by staying abreast of market expectations for the Turkish real estate sector.
